New anti-smoking warnings coming to cigarette packages

The federal government has approved new labelling for cigarette packages two try and horrify smokers into quitting. Tobacco manufacturers have until March of conform.

The new labelling will cover 75 per cent of cigarette packages, and include graphic pictures of a cancer-infected mouth, and of an emaciated, cancer-stricken Barb Tarbox. The Edmonton anti-smoking activist died of lung cancer at age 42.
