Gunshots fired downtown in early morning

RCMP say gunshots were fired this morning in downtown Fort McMurray.

Police say they responded to a call just before 1  AM, with witnesses reporting being woken up by the sound of a gun being fired.

They found evidence that a gun had been fired on Franklin Avenue between Penhorwood and Marshall streets.

A dark coloured vehicle was seen leaving the area, and no injuries were reported.
