New housing in Wood Buffalo took a more than 70% dip in September, compared to last year.
The Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation reports that new single-detached units were down more than 22% compared to September of last year.
There were no new multiple-family homes, down from 125 in September of 2010.
Since the start of the year, housing starts in Wood Buffalo are down more than ten percent.
