Keystone XL delayed by U.S. gov't

The proposed Keystone XL oil sands pipeline could be dead in the water.

In a major victory for environmental groups, the U.S. state department has agreed to review TransCanada’s project to find a less controversial route.

That review won’t be finished until early 2013, well after the next Presidential election.

Experts say that delay could be fatal to the seven billion dollar project, which would have pumped millions of barrels of oil a week to the U.S. gulf coast.
