RCMP investigate robbery in Abasand

Wood Buffalo RCMP are investigating the report of a home invasion that occurred on November 14, 2011, at approximately 6:30 pm. Police were dispatched to a residence in Abasand where two masked males had forced their way inside the house. The suspects, both carrying extendible batons, entered the house via the front door, assaulted two of the occupants before stealing a purse and fleeing the scene on foot.
 
The suspects were described as wearing ski masks, and jeans with thick white stitching on the back pockets. The victims, both males in their teens, sustained minor physical injury. The stolen purse contained several pieces of identification, two cell phones and a substantial amount of both Canadian and American currency. The police investigation continues.
