Council has voted to free up more land in Fort Chipewyan for businesses.
Two municipally-owned lots, totalling just under five acres of land, will be offered up for sale for business-industrial use. Councillor David Blair says getting interest in the land won’t be that difficult, as many entrepeneurs are chomping at the bit for land.
City staff say there has been lots of demand for land, but nothing on the open market. The municipality also voted to investigate whether there’s a need for even more development.
