A cat that had escaped from his kennel on the tarmac at Edmonton International Airport has been found dead.
Back in September, George the cat was being sent to Ontario, while his owner Vanessa Summerfield was trying to find a pet-friendly place to live here in Fort McMurray.
George escaped from his kennel once, but Air Canada employees managed to get him back into the cage. A faulty bolt on the cage allowed him to escape a second time, which then led to a search. George later died of exposure to the elements.
