RCMP continue investigating twins' deaths

The Wood Buffalo RCMP continue to actively investigate the deaths of James and William Beck, that occurred on June 26, 2011, at the Borealis Park in Fort McMurray.

Police are currently looking for two individuals in hopes of speaking with them and possibly gaining valuable information that could assist in the investigation. The subjects of interest, Hayan Mohamad, and Harun Mohamad, are described as being 20-25 years of age, and may be related to one another. The whereabouts of these individuals is currently unconfirmed.

Another aspect of the investigation has led police to re-visit an earlier call of complaint that was made on June 26, 2011, of two groups fighting in Borealis Park between the hours of 10:15 pm and 10:30 pm. This first altercation was called-in as 8 males fighting, described as a group of white males versus a group of black males. The fight took place near the Haxton Centre in Borealis Park and the time frame was approximately an hour prior to the police being called to the subsequent incident that was later confirmed a homicide.

Police are still trying to determine whether or not the two incidents are related, and as such are asking for assistance from the general public. Although the area was heavily canvassed at the time of the incident, police are still looking to speak with anyone who may have been witness to either of the altercations or in the area of Borealis Park on the evening of June 26, 2011.
