Mac Island unveils "Mi Legacy" wall

MacDonald Island Park now has an opportunity for visitors to share their photos from events that have taken place at the park.

Chief Operating Officer Tim Reid says the new digital Mi Legacy Wall is an easy interactive way to share your experience.

“There was a legacy wall that I’d been involved in at a previous facility that had some similar concepts,” he said. “And I really wanted to see something that we could interact with the public, that was based on the future experiences of this facility, not necessarily the ones of the past solely.”

Councillor Don Scott sponsored the wall and says it’s a good way to celebrate the community.

“We need the people in our community to really be engaged, and I think this is just another aspect of that,” he said. “I think coming here and putting your photos on the wall, or volunteering at events, that’s what’s going to make this community great.”

You can upload your images to the Mi Legacy Wall through the MacDonald Island website.
