Scott acclaimed as PC candidate in Fort McMurray-Conklin

Local lawyer and city councillor Don Scott will be representing the Progressive Conservative Party in Fort McMurray-Conklin for the upcoming spring election. Scott says he thought there would be more people vying for the candidacy.

His platform is focused on accessible healthcare, respectful treatment for seniors, and properly funded education.

The competition to run for the Tories is more crowded in the Fort McMurray-Wood Buffalo riding, as that race now has four potential candidates for the PCs — Public School Board chair Jeff Thompson, councillor Mike Allen, MacDonald Island board chair Nick Sanders, and high school teacher Andrew Highfield.
