On January 31, 2012, Wood Buffalo RCMP laid numerous charges in relation to a road rage incident that took place the day before in the area of the Snye River, in Fort McMurray. RCMP responded to the winter trail across from the Snye on January 30 shortly after 4:30 pm, and located five subjects in a stolen black Ford 150 pick-up truck. A 33 year-old male was taken to Northern Lights Regional Health Centre for numerous injuries including wounds consistent with those made by an edged weapon, as well as blunt force trauma.
