Passenger bus rollover northeast of Edmonton injures 30

A full Red Arrow passenger bus headed from Fort McMurray to Edmonton rolled onto its side around 2:15 p.m. Friday.

Alberta Health Services reports at least 30 have been injured and a dozen ambulances have been dispatched to the scene.

Most of the injuries are described as minor, but some are serious.

STARS Air Ambulance spokesperson Cameron Heke says they have already flown two men to the hospital in Edmonton with serious injuries, and they may need to transport a third person.

Sgt. Patrick Webb says Highway 28 will remain closed for a couple of hours while the patients are taken care of, the debris is cleaned up and an investigation is carried out.
