Conklin man facing weapons charges following shooting

RCMP say that charges have been laid in relation to a shooting that happened in Conklin last month. 33 year old Ray Charles Pruden is facing several charges, including assault on a police officer with a weapon, as well as firearms-related offenses.

Pruden was arrested the night of January 8th, after RCMP were called by a person who claimed to have heard gunshots coming from a residence in Conklin.

Police say when they got to the home, they were confronted by a man with a gun. He was shot by police, then taken to hospital for treatment. He’ll be in court March 7th.
