Royal LePage True North Realty donates to Family Crisis Society

Royal LePage True North Realty has made a contribution to the Fort McMurray Family Crisis Society.

The real estate firm donated $44,500 to the FCS yesterday. The money was donated by the employees, all of whom gave money out of their own pocket from commission made on sales.

Director of Marketing, Communications, and Fund Development for the Family Crisis Society Paul McWilliams says they not only help the women and children who are abused, but they also help rehabilitate the offenders.

The Family Crisis Society is building a new shelter, so they are able to help more people. Each year, they have to turn away about 100 clients, because they don’t have the space for them.

The additional space will allow them to not only help abused women and their children, but also men who are the victims of domestic violence, as well as elderly couples who are the victims of elder abuse.
