Hennig: MLAs should give back compensation from non-meeting committees

Scott Hennig with the Canadian Taxpayers Federation says he’s happy with Premier Alison Redford’s decision to investigate MLA committed compensation, as Albertans head to the polls soon.

However, Hennig says that he would like to see all MLAs to sat on a committee which hasn’t met in over three years to hand back their compensation.

The CTF brought the issue of the non-meeting committee to light, when it was named at the annual “Teddy Awards,” which highlights wasted taxpayer dollars by the government.
