2012 Fire Fighter Campout in support of Muscular Dystrophy Canada

To show their support for people with neuromuscular disorders, Fort McMurray Fire Fighters are organizing their 2nd annual Rooftop Campout to raise awareness and funds to help ‘make muscles move’. Last year Fort McMurray Fire Fighters raised an amazing $39,345 with this event,  the second highest fundraising total in Canada.

Country 93.3’s Jerry Neville will be joining the Fire Fighters and will be camping out on the roof all four days with the fire fighters.

A Rooftop Campout is a fundraising event where local Fire Fighters camp on the roof of a building, enduring below freezing temperatures, inclement weather, and whatever else nature throws their way, and collect donations from the public to support Muscular Dystrophy Canada. The money raised by Fort McMurray Fire Fighters will help improve the quality of life for people living with neuromuscular disorders by purchasing mobility equipment, providing support services, and funding research, which will one day lead to a cure.
