Wildrose loses support; still leads polls

A flurry of late-campaign polls show support for the Wildrose Party slipping, but their lead over the governing PC Party remains.

The latest Campaign Research poll has Danielle Smith’s party up 41% to 34% for the Tories.

“To me it’s looking very much like the Wildrose would form government,” said company president Greg Dunlop. “I’m sure there’s going to be a lot of ridings that are a lot tighter races than had been predicted before.”

The final poll of the campaign from Abacus Research shows a ten point Wildrose lead: 41% to 31% for the Tories; but that lead is down 7 points from their last poll.
