Fire alarms weren't maintained at Parsons Landing

The owner of the Parsons Landing building could face charges after Regional Emergency Services completed its investigation into the fire there in early February.

R-E-S says the building’s fire alarm was not properly maintained and that some horns and strobe lights were manually turned off and disconnected before the fire.

It also says there isn’t enough evidence to say what the cause of the fire was, though it was narrowed down to either smoking or a propane barbecue.
