RCMP seize $100K worth of drugs

Wood Buffalo RCMP say one Fort McMurray man is facing drug-related charges after they executed a search warrant downtown. Police seized varying amounts of cocaine, ecstacy, marijuana, and barbiturates. They also seized a handgun and about $30,000 in cash.

RCMP have determined that the value of the drugs totals $100,000.

56-year-old Lawrence Joseph Roy is set to appear in court on May 22nd, to answer to charges including five counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking. RCMP initially started the investigation while looking into another matter.
