A program that gives school teachers an all-expenses paid trip to the oil sands is being expanded across the country.
The Inside Education program has been operating since 1985, giving hundreds of teachers a first-hand look at the oil sands industry.
This year, teachers outside of Alberta will be eligible for the free six-day trip.
Environmentalists say the fact that industry funds the program makes it unlikely that teachers are getting an unbiased education.
