It’s deadline day for anyone looking to run in the municipal byelection.
Anyone hoping to take one of the two open seats on Wood Buffalo Council, or the open seat for the Public School Board, needs to submit their paperwork today between 8:30 and noon at council chambers.
The byelection will take place on June 25th, to fill the two vacant seats left by Mike Allen and Don Scott, who became MLAs in last month’s provincial election.
Eight people have announced their candidacy in the byelection so far.
