As he gets ready for his first tour of the oilsands, NDP leader Tom Mulcair seems to be scaling back his anti-oilsands views.
Mulcair is now saying that he’s advocating sustainable development, and is not against the industry.
The leader of the federal New Democrats has been under fire since saying that the oilsands are the cause of problems in central Canada’s manufacturing sector, because higher oil prices were driving up the value of the dollar.
Mulcair is scheduled to tour Suncor on Thursday.
