Cenovus has gotten approval for a new project from the Energy Resources Conservation Board.
It’s been given the green light for its Narrows Lake project near Conklin, just north of its Christina Lake project.
Ground work for the first 45 thousand barrel per day phase should start this fall.
The SAGD project could eventually produce 130 thousand b-p-d.
