Fort McMurray high schools improve slightly in rankings

Fort McMurray high schools did a little better in this year’s rankings from the Fraser Institute.

Father Merc’s rating out of ten rose from 4.6 to 5.3; it ranked 193rd out of 273 schools in the province.

Composite went from 4.2 to 4.3; ranking 236th.

Westwood was the only high school to fall – it went from 6.7 to 6.5, still holding the best ranking in the city at 110th.

The Institute uses test scores and graduation rates to create the rankings.
