Cenovus says it’s making strides on corporate responsibility.
It says greenhouse gas emissions have dropped in intensity by 27% since 2004 at its Foster Creek and Christina Lake projects.
It reduced the number of lost-time incidents by 15% in 2011 even though activity levels went up 40%, thanks to improved safety training.
And the company says it tripled its investment in Aboriginal owned and joint venture businesses from 86 million to 245 million dollars.
