A local teacher is getting provincial recognition.
Angela Fenton teaches science and math at Thickwood Heights School.
She’s receiving a 2012 Teacher Award from the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta.
Only 20 teachers in Alberta get the award; it’s for inspiring kids to want to learn more about science and math.
The APEGA will donate 2 thousand dollars to promote science and math in the school.
