TransCanada considering eastbound oil sands pipeline

TransCanada doesn’t want to stop with the Keystone XL pipeline – now it’s seriously considering building a new oil sands pipeline heading east.

CEO Russ Girling says a new line could send bitumen to refineries in the Atlantic that have to import foreign crude right now.

He says the line could serve markets in Europe as well as the U.S. eastern seaboard.
