Sustainable Resource Development has bumped up the wildfire risk to Very High.
It says the area is entering a heating and drying trend that will continue over the weekend and into next week without much rain to make things better.
However, there aren’t any wildfires currently burning in the region, and there haven’t been any for some time.
The wildfire in Wood Buffalo National Park is still being held.
