NDP leader Thomas Mulcair has officially come out against the proposed Northern Gateway oil sands pipeline.
He made the comments in Victoria, saying a recent report on how Enbridge handled a spill in Michigan in 2010 should be the nail in the coffin for the project.
He claims the project to take oil sands crude to the west coast would mean taking a huge risk with a delicate coastline.
