Smoky conditions north of Fort McMurray

Smoke is blowing into Fort McMurray from fires in High Level, according to Sustainable Resource Development.

SRD says there are no out of control fires in the Waterways district right now.

There were 16 fires started by lightning yesterday; 3 are already out.

The other 13 are either being held or under control.

The wildfire risk is still moderate because of high humidity, but SRD says high temperatures mean it’s likely to be raised later this week.
