Ambassador: Keystone XL gaining support

Canada’s ambassador to the U.S. says things are looking up for the proposed Keystone XL pipeline.

Gary Doer said in Calgary that the project now has widespread public support south of the border, with a recent Rasmussen poll showing 60 percent of Americans in favour of it, and less than 20 percent opposed.

He also says media outlets are starting to take a broader view of the project as well.

The 7.6-billion dollar project from TransCanada would ship bitumen south to U.S. Gulf Coast refineries.
