Original Story:

A drunk driver going up the wrong side of Thickwood Boulevard caused a head on crash this morning just before 5:30.

Thickwood was closed just past Dickinsfield going east for several hours during the morning rush while the accident was cleared.

Witnesses say they saw the driver in a pickup truck on the wrong side of the road but he didn’t respond to other drivers honking their horns to warn him.

Sources say he then hit another pickup head-on at the intersection of Real Martin Drive.

The man in the other truck had to be cut out of the vehicle.
