TransCanada to build new oil sands pipeline

TransCanada has been picked for a more than 600 million dollar pipeline project in the oilsands.

The Northern Courier Pipeline project will run 90 kilometres of pipe between the upcoming Fort Hills mine and the Voyageur upgrader north of the city.

That mine is jointly owned by Suncor, Total, and Teck Resources.

But Suncor CEO Steve Williams has already said Fort Hills probably won’t be done by their mid-2013 target.
