Choices Association of Fort McMurray is now offering Targeted Initiative for Older Workers.
The Targeted Initiative for Older Workers (TIOW) provides employment assistance services and employability improvement activities, such as skills upgrading and work experience, to assist unemployed workers aged 55 to 64 with their return to work.
Services Include:
- Career Decision Making Assistance to include referrals
- Skill Development to include computer basic training and exposure courses based on need
- Information and guidance for resume and cover letter creation
- Tapping into local labour market
- Self employment referrals and assistance with completeing documentation
- Job exploration strategies with one-on-one assistance for submitting resumes via the internet and through cold calling
- Employer informational interviews
- Job maintenance
