Some Other Solutions Partners With Wood Buffalo Corporate Challenge

Fort McMurray, AB, September 13, 2012 – Wood Buffalo Corporate Challenge is pleased to announce a partnership with the Some Other Solutions Society for Crisis Prevention in advance of the inaugural event from September 27-30 at MacDonald Island Park.
 
Some Other Solutions (SOS), which is charged with coordinating, developing and implementing services related to crisis prevention, intervention and postvention in Fort McMurray and Northeastern Alberta, will manage the Bus Pull, one of eight Wood Buffalo Corporate Challenge events.
 
Deadline for team registration for Wood Buffalo Corporate Challenge is Thursday, September 20.
 
“SOS is proud to partner with Wood Buffalo Corporate Challenge in hosting the Bus Pull as we recognize World Suicide Prevention Day in September,” said Alie Warnes, Suicide Prevention Program Coordinator with SOS. “The message of suicide prevention is important and this partnership will ensure it reaches a large portion of our community as our suicide prevention campaign will coincide with our support of the Bus Pull.”

In addition to the Bus Pull, the Wood Buffalo Corporate Challenge will feature TV Trivia, the Human Bonspiel, Beach Volleyball, Dodgeball, the Muddy Buddy Obstacle Course, Relay Triathlon and Innertube Waterpolo.

The Wood Buffalo Corporate Challenge is a fundraiser in support of Noralta Skating Club. The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo is the title partner for the event, which aims to promote health and wellness via a series of fun, team-oriented challenges.
