Last Thursday, a Fort McMurray male youth pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and aggravated assault for an attack that left a 31-year-old female dead.
It happened last November in the Timberlea area.
A child was hurt as well, and at the time flown to Edmonton for hospitilization.
The child recovered, and is in family’s care.
The male was 16 years-old at the time the incident took place.
He is expected back in court January 10th for sentencing.
Around the same time he was also charged with a number of other offenses in relation to break-and-enter in the Timberlea area and will be in court October 16th for those.
