Robin Gibb leaves a fortune to his loved ones

Bee Gee Robin Gibb left a lot of money, according to the UK SUN.

The paper reports that Gibb, who died of cancer in May, at age 62, left an estate worth $148 million (£93 million).

The assets are said to include a $24 million family home and a $4 million Miami Beach mansion.

The bulk of the estate is expected to go to Gibb’s wife Dwina and his children, Spencer, Melissa and RJ, though it could take five years or so for it all to get sorted out.

Though Gibb was married to Dwina from 1985 until his death, he also reportedly fathered a child, Snow, with Claire Yang, a housekeeper 26 years his junior, in 2008.

In 2009, the Daily Mail reported that Dwina gave ‘her blessing’ to the eight-year affair.

The SUN reports that Yang reportedly received a settlement of $8 million before Gibb’s death.

Best known for his vocal contributions to disco classics such as ‘Stayin’ Alive’ and ‘Tragedy,’ Gibb performed with his brothers Maurice and Barry in the Bee Gees throughout the group’s run spanning six decades and continued with his solo career after the band split in 2003 following Maurice’s sudden death.

The singer continued to perform as a solo act and eventually with a reunited Bee Gees alongside Barry until just a few months prior to his death from cancer.
