Tomorrow, we remember road crash victims

Tomorrow the nation is set to remember road crash victims.

Those killed or seriously injured in often avoidable collisions and those left to deal with the sudden and unexpected losses, will be remembered at MacDonald Island Park.

It is an event put on by Safe Community Wood Buffalo and will be from 5:30-8:30pm, with RCMP and their law enforcement partners in attendance.

Every year nearly 2,800 Canadians are killed plus over 195,000 are injured.

There will be interactive displays and will also mark the launch of the ‘How Could This Happen to Me’ campaign, which is a visual mobile display that educates the public on their role and responsibilities to safer roads.
