Police chiefs across Alberta will be voting next spring on a proposal that will see extreme speeders lose their vehicles.
The idea was sparked by Edmonton Chief Rod Knecht, who says that police chiefs across the province agree with it.
It will be voted on by chiefs in May.
If passed, it will then be presented to the provincial government for its consideration.
There was a similar motion brought forward in 2009, though the province turned it down.
