East coast pipeline 'feasible': Redford

Premier Alison Redford says an oil sands pipeline to the east coast is looking like a ‘feasible option’.

The Globe and Mail also reports that New Brunswick Premier David Alward says a pipeline could be as important as the railway was.

Alward says he would hope a line could reach to the Irving Refinery in Saint John, which already exports 40 percent of Canada’s refined petroleum products.

But the Premiers of Nova Scotia and Quebec haven’t been nearly as enthusiastic.

Alward says he hopes the Premiers will discuss the idea when they meet in Halifax this week.
