Catholic superintendent Jenkins to retire

After 32 years working for the Fort McMurray Catholic school district, superintendent Kim Jenkins is retiring.

The board has announced he’ll leave his position at the end of the school year.

Jenkins joined the board in 1981, becoming a school administrator in 1988, a deputy superintendent in 2002 and superintendent in 08.

While superintendent, he oversaw the opening of the Performing Arts Centre at Holy Trinity High School and the Science and Technology Centre at Father Mercredi.
