Prince William and his wife Kate are officially expecting their first child.

The 30-year-old has been admitted into a London hospital, and is expected to be there for a couple of days.
The child as Prince William’s first, whether male or female, stands an excellent chance at one day becoming monarch.
Last year leaders of the Britain and 15 former colonies that have the monarch as their head of state had agreed to new rules allowing females equal status with males in the order of succession.
In September 2012, the British Cabinet Office confirmed that this is now the de-facto rule.
William is second in line to the throne, behind his father Prince Charles.
