The RCMP have a new initiative for the month of December, and thats getting impaired drivers off the streets,
As part of the campaign it will be out patrolling and setting up check-stops at various locations throughout the municipality, while also educating the community.
The RCMP has partnered with Safe Communities Wood Buffalo in an initiative called ‘This Could Be You: Buckle Up, Slow Down, Drive Sober.’
The initiative involves showing a vehicle that was in a serious collision to serve as a visual reminder that collisions are real, and can happen in an instant to anyone, anytime, anywhere.
You are reminded that if you come across an impaired driver, to pull over safely and call the police.
The Wood Buffalo RCMP encourage everyone to enjoy the holiday season in a safe and responsible manner.
