Schools out, or soon will be for Superintendent of Fort McMurray’s Public School District Dennis Parsons.

The board confirmed that he will be finishing up his 5-year contract and passing the job to someone else come August.

While superintendent he saw the opening of the first new public school in 26 years, Ecole McTavish Junior High Public School.

He also got government support for Walter and Gladys Hill Public School, which will open in 2014.

This comes just after the Catholic district’s superintendent Kim Jenkins said that he was doing the same thing.
