Snow removal continues on residential streets

Wood Buffalo urge motorists to drive according to road conditions, after reporting several collisions in the region the morning of Feb. 12, 2019.

Snow removal will be continuing, and the RMWB has provided an update of a new schedule.

It will be focusing on residential areas.

Starting Monday are areas in Timberlea – this will include Eagle Ridge, Stone Creek and Eglert Drive.

On Wednesday it will continue in the Abasand and Grayling areas.

Later in the month removal will happen in Beaconhill (15th), Prairie Creek (18th), Wood Buffalo (19th), Waterways (19th), Downtown (21st), Dickensfield (22nd) and Thickwood (25th).

The city says primary and secondary routes in Timberlea are about 40% done.

It will then finish primary and secondary routes in Prairie Creek and Beacon Hill to be done by the 8th.

The city is reminding you that delays may occur due to weather, and in attempts to keep snow removal equipment away from its refuse collection equipment.
