Medevac services in Fort McMurray are expected to suffer with the closure of Edmonton’s City Centre Airport.
Medevac flights will start using a Edmonton International Airport facility in February.
A report from the Health Quality Council of Alberta found that under ideal traffic and weather conditions it will take more than 35 minutes to get to the trauma ward during the critical minutes after an accident happens.
