An 18-year old local has been charged after a stabbing in Parsons Creek on Saturday.
RCMP say the victim was walking with friends, and approached by a group of people.
An argument broke out and the 21-year old was then hit in the head with a blunt object, and stabbed.
Brandon Madden has been charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Police say the two knew each other.
Madden remains in custody and the victim is recovering from serious injuries.
