Hospital starts work on new ambulance bays

The Northern Lights Regional Hospital is getting started on two new ambulance bays.

It’s demolishing the current single ambulance bay, and expects the two new ones to be in operation by this time next year.

Because of the work, 21 visitor parking spots will be unavailable in the upper lot.

The hospital says it’ll make 19 spots in the lower staff lot available to the public.

Once the construction is done, there’ll be 42 new visitor parking spaces.

Clinical Operations VP Allan Bradley says the new bays will help enhance their emergency response abilities.
