The massive oversized load coming up 63 is almost ready for the final leg of its journey.
The giant coker unit was an hour behind schedule this morning, but it’s going to stay just south of town until early tomorrow morning.
It’ll head north through town starting at 1 AM, getting to the oil sands by 5.
If it can’t make it there in time, it’ll pull over for rush hour, and then finish its trip up north by noon.
Alberta Transportation says there were about 250 of these super loads on 63 last year.
