The idea of a north side recreation centre is getting a tonne of support, according to Mac Island.
It surveyed thirty four hundred people through its community engagement sessions.
Combined with online responses, 96 percent of people were in favour of building a facility, and 90 percent of people at the sessions said they’d use it.
The next step is putting out a design proposal and getting feedback on that.
Mac Island says those sessions will be announced in the next six weeks.
